“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow”
A very suitable quote from Audrey Hepburn.

Ros reports that Blackbrooks and High Banks Nurseries are delivering locally. Blackbrooks had compost yesterday (1st April).

High Banks request orders sent in by email: info@highbanksnursery.co.uk
They are taking orders for bedding plants and vegetable plants. Get your orders in before Monday as that is the day they send the orders to the supplier, and delivery will be a week later. Include your telephone number. They will then do their best to work out a delivery route and divide delivery costs. Their web site is undergoing revision. They have no grow bags but do have compost as at 3/4/20.

From Ros Mags – April 1st
I thought I would take a break from potting  up tomatoes and see what was in the garden that in normal times might have made it to the Monthly Competitions Page. So three stems of daffs or narcissus all one kind. . . . . .

A bunch of herbs. How many can you spot?

And a tied spring posy

Barbara Simmons has sent in this lovely picture of ducks! They have spurned their beautiful duck house  in favour of a 7ft wall. Rather a high jump for the ducklings.
